CUSTODY & PARENTING TIME ISSUES

There is nothing more emotional than our children. In many divorce cases, a knock down drag out custody fight will often harm your children more than not fighting at all. On the other hand, if you must have custody of your children, it is important that you get legal advice from an experienced family law attorney. An experienced attorney can explain the differences between sole and joint custody, the designation of a residential parent, parenting time and visitation.

Oregon law is designed to encourage parents of children to be actively involved in their daily lives. You have the right to receive medical or school information about your children. In most cases you have the right to attending sporting or other extra curricular events.

In every case involved the custody or parenting time of a child, both parents are required to attend a parent education program.
